Volvo F12 5 Axle King Trailer and Load

This model is now due for release in 2013.

The name of Pickfords has long been associated with heavy haulage industry throughout the twentieth century. The Volvo F12 became one of the staples of the heavy haulage fleet, along with the Scammell Crusader in the 1980s.

This versatile vehicle appeared in both four wheel and six wheel configurations, both as a simple tractor unit and also with ballast boxes as a ballast tractor. In the 1980s each division of Pickfords had its own divisional colour, red for household removals, light blue for overseas and white for heavy haulage. These colours were used on the waist bands on each divisions vehicle.

C975 ARJ is seen here in its 1986 livery, along with trailer TM 2079, as operating out of their Enfield site.
